I finally grew a pretty good sized beet! We had Chiogga Beets and salad greens from the garden for dinner. ( with a steak and white beans) We even had a few tomatoes for the salad. The peas I planted in bed 5 have already sprouted. I hope the cucumbers grow fast also. The pea plants in the Big Bed on the West side of the house have some baby peas on them. I’m trying to figure out what to plant in Bed 2. It really doesn’t get much sun in the summer, and even lettuce isn’t doing so well down there.
