I spent some time today trying to train the tomatoes in Bed 3. It’s already looking like a rat’s nest.  This year I’m trying to make sure I just use biodegradable jute twine  to tie them up with.  Then when I compost them at the end of the season  I don’t have to pick out a bunch of  twist ties( recyclable) from the mess. (like I did last year0

I pulled out all the suckers I found.  The plants all seem bushy enough, and I  planted them pretty close together.  I still have one Kellog’s  Breakfast Tomato, some Early Girls, some Yellow Pears, and Red and Yellow Cherry Tomatoes.

Two of the potatoes that I planted have been doing really well. The garlic against the back fence is ready, the rest is getting close.
